History of Osteopathy
Osteopathy is a faculty of medical sciences that recognizes the complexity of human body through the knowledge of its anatomy, physiology and biomechanics. At the core of Osteopathy are principles that acknowledge the interrelation between all systems of the body. Osteopathic approach to treatment and assessment considers the role of musculoskeletal, visceral, and neurological components as well as the craniosacral mechanism in the expression of health of the individual.
Osteopathy is an art of manual therapy that seeks the health of the individual and treats the dysfunctional aspect of the body in relationship to all other systems of the body.
Osteopathic Practitioners focus on helping patients to correct mechanical imbalances. They reflect on how the departure from normal function due to trauma or habits will influence physical adaptation. They seek the underlying causes of your existing condition and will teach you how to prevent the recurrences of same issues.
The aim of Osteopathic Treatment is to restore proper body mechanics, improve blood and lymph flow and enhance neurological balance of nerve conductivity of Central and Autonomic Nervous System
